TLCNP Guided Tree Walk

Guided Tree Walk

TLCNP is a 20.2 acre pocket of wilderness and is the 2nd largest track of native forest inside the 610 loop.  More than 2 acres of wetland areas have been documented within the property. The property is a mixture of open grass greenbelt and forested interior.

In 2022, TLCNP was designated a nature preserve by the Houston Parks and Recreation Department. The nature preserve ordinance preserves land within designated greenspaces with a focus on habitat protection and passive recreation.

The guide is composed of seven trees and two shrubs that you will see within the property.  A sketch for each species and a brief description will help you identify each tree or shrub. A QR is included for each species so you find additional information on-line.

A current trail map is also provided below.
